Board the Scenic Crystal in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, to begin your deluxe river cruise for adults only. Spend Days 1 and 2 in Amsterdam, famous for its maze of canals. Explore the city by bicycle or canal boat, or, if you’d like to venture farther out, you can visit Volendam and see its raised homes and wooden church. You also have the opportunity to visit the charming town of Edam, most notable for its round cheese. Your next stop is Cologne, where you can explore the city’s Old Town, an area filled with historic monuments, charming squares and Cologne Cathedral, the largest Gothic church in Germany and the tallest Roman Catholic cathedral in the world. You also have the option to take a scenic ride on the oldest cog railway of Germany and discover splendid Drachenburg Castle. In Koblenz, a city established more than 2,000 years ago, take advantage of guided tours of the city or Reichsburg Castle in nearby Cochem. Start the following day in Rudesheim and enjoy a guided visit of Siegfried Mechanical Musical Instruments Museum aboard the Winzerexpress mini-train before taking a cable-car ride to the Niederwald Monument. Then, sail through Rhine Gorge, a section of the river characterized by numerous castles, verdant vineyards and the enchanting Lorelei statue of German folklore.

Dock in Mannheim the following day for several activity options. You can travel to Heidelberg to visit the sandstone ruins of the town’s famed castle, or you can attend the Sweet Tastes of Heidelberg tour for a chance to sample local chocolates, bon bons and gummy bears. If you prefer modern technology over history and sweets, visit the Technik Museum in nearby Speyer. Then rejoin the group to end the evening with your trip’s exclusive Enrich experience: a private tour of a Baroque-era palace followed by a classical concert. Sail next to Strasbourg, France, the capital of the Alsace-Champagne-Ardenne-Lorraine region and home to La Petite France, the city’s scenic historic quarter. The closest commercial airport to the port for your arrival flight is Amsterdam Airport Schiphol (AMS), approximately 15 miles (24 kilometers) away. The closest commercial airport to the port for your departure flight is Zurich Airport (ZRH) in Zurich, approximately 56 miles (90 kilometers) away.

Airport Transfers

Scenic provides round-trip airport transfers from:
• Amsterdam Airport Schiphol (AMS) to the port on August 16, timing based on arrival.
• The port to Zurich Airport (ZRH) on August 23, timing based on departure. Please schedule flights to depart after midday.

To arrange your airport transfers, you must submit flight details to the Scenic online Trip Personaliser no later than May 13 (at least 95 days prior to sailing).

To log in to the Trip Personaliser, you’ll need your Scenic Booking Number, which you will receive via email after your booking is complete.
